Student Resources

At Calvary Baptist Church we believe our role in Student Ministry is to come along side parents in raising the next generation to know the truth of the Gospel. While providing regular scheduled times of worship, prayer, Bible study, discipleship, and fellowship are certainly part of this; we also believe it is important to provide resources for parents. We hope that these resources will help to continue the conversations we start and will be a blessing to you and your students.

Our DV8 Youth (6th-12th grade) are currently going through The Jesus Studies on Sunday mornings.

There are many issues students deal with as they try to live out their faith in a world that’s often opposed to their core beliefs. Navigating these issues can be rough. Students get so many mixed messages; the world says one thing, their friends may say another. And we hope they know enough about their faith to know how to make sense of it all.

That’s why The Jesus Studies aim to cut through the confusion, teaching your students a Christ-centered look at the major issues they deal with in their lives.

Student Devotions: Lesson 3

Our DV8 Youth and College & Career are currently going through

Mark: How Jesus Changes Everything on Wednesday Nights.

This study has a goal bigger than merely to study the book of Mark. It aims to help students learn to keep their eyes on Jesus and the good news of God’s love and power to save them. Students will consider how that power takes them beyond themselves to love others— especially those who don’t yet know Jesus.

Growing as a believer means you must grow in awareness of your sin and in confidence that Jesus saves you in every way from that sin. As you grow in this confidence, God will also work to reshape the desires of your heart to match his desires, which include mercy and compassion for those who are still far from him. The message of grace and hope that not-yet believers need is the same gospel message believers need to hear over and over.

Mark: How Jesus Changes Everything seeks to help students do just that.
